The first word that always comes to my mind when I think of Brayden Burries is "utility". Utility scorer. Utility defender. Utility playmaker. There isn't a singular superpower that immediately demands my attention, but rather he possesses a collection of interconnected traits that slowly consume plays over the course of a game. His understanding of pace and cadence. His mature shot making ability when the pressure heightens. The body control. The physicality. The intrigue on Burries lies within how expansive his skillset foundation already is. Every moment in a game feels like he's constantly seeking for the most advantageous spot to capitalize on. The playmaking and defense still have a leap to make to really maximize his upside but his game leaves a lasting impression long after the box score has already been forgotten.
